Description	A plastic box that contains “pennies” (round aluminum cutouts) painted green on one side and yellow on the other. Use this to show the concept of entropy.

Tips	Procedure: Start by placing all the pennies with one color visible. When the tray is shaken, the pennies begin to flip dependent on how hard you are shaking it. Eventually, an equilibrium is reached with approximately equal numbers of greens and yellows. Further shaking will not return them to the way you originally placed the pennies. If only a few pennies are used, the system will occasionally return to its original state. This shows the dependence upon the number of particles in the system. source
