Gavin Hester, a student in Professor Kate Ross’s research group, has been selected as a finalist for the American Physical Society’s Harry Lustig Award.

Hester was nominated by Ross and Professor Hua Chen. Hester will give an invited talk entitled, “Discovery of Bose-Einstein Condensation in a Strongly Spin-Orbit Coupled Quantum Magnet” during the 2019 Four Corners annual meeting at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on October 11 -12, 2019.
