Tips |
- Three spokes (and another with four) made from different metals radiate from the hub. Put wax in the spokes notches, heat hub with a propane torch (shelf 57 or by the red toolbox), and compare the conductivities of the different metals.
- You will need
- Wax
- Propane Torch
- Lab stand to mount
conductometer
- Container with cold water to cool down the conductometer after the demonstration.
- To prepare, melt candles to the notches using a barbecue (located above the two TV’s) lighter and allow them to cool and solidify as pictured so that the candles fall off when the spoke is hot enough.
