Colorado State University welcomed more than 50 students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty and scientists from around the world for the 2026 Principles and Applications of Symmetry in Magnetism (PASM) Summer School, held July 13–17 on the Fort Collins campus.

Supported by the National Science Foundation and the CSU Department of Physics, the five-day program featured lectures from leading researchers, participant poster presentations and collaborative discussions focused on modern magnetism, quantum materials and emerging spin-based technologies. The event provided early-career researchers with opportunities to learn from experts, share their work and build connections across theory, computation and experiment.

The summer school included seven invited lecture series, 24 participant posters and extensive opportunities for scientific exchange, highlighting CSU’s commitment to advancing research and collaboration in physics.
