César Leonardo Ordóñez Romero was born in July 1977, in México City, México. He has received his Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. degrees at the Faculty of Engineering from the National Autonomous University of México (UNAM), México, in 2001, 2003 and 2006, respectively. His Ph.D. dissertation was focused on Magneto-optic spectroscopy of magneto-elastic waves in thin ferromagnetic films.

César joined the Magnetics group at CSU in November 2006 as a Post-doctoral Fellow, where he is going to work on the Magneto-optical spectroscopy, with emphasis on non-linear magnetization dynamics in metallic thin films. He loves to practice the Charreria (he is a Mexican Charro), to build and to play with radio controlled crafts, and to drink coffee with his friends.
