Pavol Krivosik's
permanent position is with the
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI) of the Slovak
University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava, Slovakia. He has received his Master degree in Solid State Physics in 1994
and PhD degree in Theory of Electrical Engineering in 2001, both from the FEI.
At FEI he was working in Magnetics Group of Department of Electromagnetic Field Theory.
His research was mainly concerned with the investigation and modeling of magnetic hysteresis and eddy-current
relaxation phenomena in metallic ferromagnets. Besides his research activities he was involved in
teaching and lecturing in Electric Circuit Theory and Electromagnetic Field Theory.
In 2000 and 2001 he has joined
Magnetics Group at Istituto Eletrottecnico Nazionale Galileo Ferraris in Turin, Italy. From that time he loves Italian
cuisine, red wine and the "la dolce vita" lifestyle as well.
Pavol joined the Magnetics Group at CSU on March 2003 as a Post-doctoral Fellow. His early work was focused on spin-wave instabilities
in metallic thin films. His recent research activities include theoretical work on linear and nonlinear magnetization dynamics,
spin-wave excitations, and relaxation processes in bulk and spatially confined magnetic materials.
He is particularly interested in numerical techniques and modelling.
He is author and co-author of over 40 articles in archival journals and conference proceedings.
