[caption id="attachment_1462" align="alignleft" width="150"]Prof. Siu Au Lee Prof. Siu Au Lee[/caption] Professor Siu Au Lee, a Professor of Physics at Colorado State University, headed out to the National Science Foundation this fall to serve as a Program Manager for the NSF Division of Physics. Prof. Lee will split her time between the National Science Foundation office in Washington DC and CSU where she maintains an active research program in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. Prof. Lee’s research interests include laser manipulation of atoms for atom interferometry and nano-lithography and precision laser tests of fundamental theories. She has received numerous grants from the NSF and was also a principal investigator of a $1.1 million grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation for quantum computer-oriented research. Prof. Lee has been a valued member of the CSU Department of Physics for more than 30 years. She received a BS degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a PhD in Physics from Stanford University in 1979. Prof. Lee is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America and a Fellow of the American Physics Society. She was also a recipient of the 2010 Best Teacher Award from CSU Alumni Association.
