The Department of Physics offers programs in physics and applied physics which lead to the Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Active research gives students study opportunities at the forefront of physics. Financial support in the form of teaching and research assistantships is available to qualified students.

Important Information for Current Students

Establishing Colorado Residency: If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident you should establish Colorado residency at the earliest opportunity. The Student Financial Services website has an entire section devoted to this topic. Of particular interest is the schedule for orientation sessions, attendance at which is mandatory if you need to petition for classification as a Colorado resident for tuition purposes.
